Sakhashree Neeta

- A CHAKRA YOGI

Yog: Beginning the Search

In Sanskrit, the word Yog translates to union or joining. Our scriptures say that the practice of Yog leads to the union of the individual soul with the Universal Consciousness. For seekers, there are four broad paths to reach the Divine. Rightful action in accordance with universal laws is called Karma Yog. The path of devotion or surrender to God and humanity is termed Bhakti Yog. When you explore your inner self through meditation or dhyan, you are practising Dhyan Yog. If the devotee uses knowledge to develop spiritually and answer the eternal questions of life—questions such as “Who am I? Why am I here? What is the purpose of my life?”—he is called a Gyan Yogi.

The veil of maya prevents us from knowing our real nature and the nature of the universe around us. Gyan Yog is the process of piercing this veil through a multi-pronged approach. Gyan Yog, or the Path of Intelligence, works very well in conjunction with rightful action and meditation. The Gyani uses the powers of the mind to discriminate between the real and the unreal, the temporal and the permanent. In this pursuit, he does not forsake his worldly duties and responsibilities; on the contrary, he gives his best to his profession and career while loving and working for the good of humanity.

You are here because you are seeking something higher than yourself—a higher purpose, a greater meaning in your life. You must know that it is not easy to perceive Brahman, for Brahman is infinite, eternal and all-pervading. However, through Gyan Yog, you can use your discrimination to separate the real from the unreal. Then you will realise that all duality is ignorance. There is no need to look outside yourself for a divine entity, for you are yourself Divine.

About Chakra Sadhana

Chakras are subtle energy centres within the human body. They emit cosmic frequencies that create perfect harmony between the mind, body and soul. Located along the spine at points corresponding to the endocrine glands, these unseen centres act as valves that regulate the flow of universal energy through your system. Chakras govern every aspect of your life—your expressions, feelings, senses, and even the sixth sense.

When functioning optimally, the Chakras create balanced physical, mental and emotional health. However, as you go through life’s experiences and challenges, whenever your thoughts, attitudes or reactions tend toward fear or negativity, your Chakras may become blocked. When a Chakra is blocked, the free flow of cosmic energy is inhibited, and emotional disorders or physical ailments related to that Chakra begin to develop.

For the Chakras to open again, you need to release negative emotions and let go of flawed, rigid beliefs and dogmatic spiritual perceptions. By working with your Chakras, you can clear away stagnant negative energy that does not serve your highest purpose. This will broaden your perspective, aid in your evolution as a human being and help you make the changes needed for better health, harmonious relationships and personal and financial well-being.

Chakra Yog Workshops

Workshops at Chakra Yog use simple yet powerful techniques designed by visionary healer Sakhashree Neeta. Rooted primarily in Gyan Yog, Chakra Yog follows the Neti Neti approach of Adi Shankaracharya.

Neti Neti means “Not this, not that.” It involves analytical meditation that helps a seeker understand the nature of Brahman by first understanding what is not Brahman. With its help, the Gyani negates identification with all worldly objects that are not the Atman; in this way, he negates the Un-atman. Through this gradual process, he transcends all worldly experiences until nothing remains but the Self. The Gyani attains union with the Absolute by denying the body, name, form, intellect, senses and all limiting adjuncts, and discovers what remains—the true “I” alone.
