Description
Lord Brahma Chalisa is a devotional hymn of 40 verses dedicated to Lord Brahma, the Supreme Creator. Lord Brahma is part of the three primary Deities or Hindu Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh who symbolize the three primary aspects of existence which is creation, sustenance and destruction. He is also known by various other names such as Vedanatha meaning God of Vedas, Chaturmukha meaning the one having Four Faces, Gyaneshwar meaning God of Knowledge among others. As per Vedic texts Lord Brahma is the creator of the universe, in some Puranas He is also referred to as Prajapati or Hiranyagarbha. Lord Brahma is Swayambhu, He originated from a lotus which originated from the navel of Lord Vishnu and created the universe.
