It is performed for health, wealth and success through the invocation of Lord Dhanvantri who is a celestial Healer.
Lord Dhanvantari, the father of Ayurveda appeared on the day of Dhanteras carrying a pot of Amrit (nectar) in his hand. He is the doctor of Gods of all the three worlds and is also known as the manifestation of Lord Vishnu. Dhanvantri Puja & Yajna is performed on Dhanvantari Trayodashi which is celebrated two days before Diwali Puja during Trayodashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha. It marks the appearance of Lord Vishnu in His divine incarnation of Lord Dhanvantari, the teacher and the father of Ayurveda.
He first appeared during the great churning of the cosmic milk ocean to deliver amrita (nectar) for the nourishment of the demigods. The churning of the milk ocean is one of the most famous episodes in Puranic history and is celebrated in a major way every twelve years in the festival known as Kumbha Mela. The story is related in the Srimad Bhagavatam, a major work that describes the avatars in great detail.

Kalash Sthapana, Panchang Sthapana (Gauri Ganesh, Punyavachan, Shodash Matrika, Navgraha, Sarvotabhadra), 64 yogini Pujan, Shetrapal Pujan, Swasti Vachan, Sankalpa, Ganesh Pujan and Abhishek, Navgraha Pujan and 108 chants of each planetary mantra, Invocation of major Gods and Goddesses in Kalash, Pujan & Abhishek of Dhanvantri Idol and Yantra, Dhanvantri Raksha kavach and strotra recitation, Dhanvantri Mantra Japa and Yagna.

A short Video of the Sankalpa and mantra chanting would be sent to you along with the photographs of the Puja ritual. You may connect with the priest during the puja (video or phone call) on WhatsApp or Skype and watch the rituals live. Puja Tokri having prasad, energized Rudraksha, silver tabeez and yantra would be sent along. Rudra Centre priests will perform Dhanvantri Puja and Yagna as per Vedic rituals based on birth details.
