Rats are associated with Lord Ganesha. They are the vahana of Lord Ganesha and symbolize curiosity and nimbleness. Feeding rats pleases Lord Ganesha, who blesses devotees with knowledge, intellect, and wisdom. All around the world, people feed animals for joy, happiness, and fulfillment, but in Hindu tradition, the act has special prominence. Even in various Vedic scriptures, the significance and importance of feeding various animals is mentioned. It is believed that one can absolve all sins by feeding animals.
