Description
The Shaligram Shila is self manifested stone which represents Lord Vishnu and ardently worshipped all over the world, especially by the Vaishnav sect. It is considered sacred and does not require Pran Prathishta(consecration), as the Shaligram marks the presence of God in it. This Shaligram is named Laxmi Ganesh Krishna Garuda Shaligram Shila. Goddess Laxmi is the Divine consort of Lord Vishnu and the Goddess of wealth, good fortune and abundance. Lord Krishna is the 8th Avatar of Lord Vishnu, extremely popular and revered. Lord Ganesha is the first Deity to be worshipped before any Puja, religious rituals or auspicious occasion. He is highly regarded as the God who removes obstacles and bestows success, wisdom, intellect, good luck and abundance. Garuda is the Vahana(vehicle) of Lord Vishnu, who was a huge humanoid bird creature, an ardent devotee of Vishnuji, is considered King of Birds and enemy of Snakes. He denotes Heaven and birth. The Shaligram Shila is best worshipped at home and corrects Vastu Doshas, clears negative energies and keeps the dwelling positive. It blesses with material contentment, pleasures and luxuries, spiritual growth, righteous living, harmonious relationships, all round protection and eliminates miseries.
The Sacred Shaligram Shala is found only in Kali Gandaki river, Nepal. The ancient texts are replete with the virtues of the Shaligram Shila. Dedicatedly worshipping it, leads to Moksha. It is worshipped by performing Abhishek with Water and Tulsi leaves and a mixture of Cow Milk(without boiling), Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar.
