Description

The sacred Shaligram stone featuring carving of Goddess Laxmi in seated pose makes a powerful sacred idol. The idol makes an auspicious combination of blessings of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Vishnu, Who is represented by Shaligram. Goddess is seated with Her legs folded atop a Lotus. She drapes a sari while a flare of sari is seen beneath. Her right hand is raised in Abhay mudra and Her left hand is seen in Varad mudra, the boon conferring gesture. Her upper arms are seen holding Lotuses. The rich black of the stone gives the idol a divine antique appearance. Goddess Laxmi is Goddess of wealth, prosperity and abundance. Place the idol in you puja altar for blessings of riches, wealth, harmony, riches, bliss, success, uninterrupted flow of wealth and protection from negative energies.

Shaligram is a sacred stone which is collected from Gandaki Kali River in Nepal. The Shaligram idol does not need to undergo the ritual of Pranprathistha (life invoking ritual), as Shaligram is the representation of Lord Vishnu himself.
