The Shaligram Shila is a sacred stone which is self manifested and represents Lord Vishnu, who is part of the Divine Trinity along with Lord Brahma and Shiva. Nandi is the Celestial Bull, the Vahana of Lord Shiva, whose statue is found in Shiva temples, sitting outside the door to the main temple which houses the Shivlinga, with His face towards the Lingam, in submission. Nandi is a devout devotee of Lord Shiva and denotes wisdom, restrained power, patience, protection, surrender, devotion.
