This meticulously carved idol features Sage Ved Vyas in seated pose crafted in natural Shaligram stone. In this idol, sage Ved Vyas is seen raising both His palms in blessing conferring pose. His hair is knotted above His head and has a beard. The folds of Dhoti and sacred Janeu thread have been beautifully carved by the craftsman. Sage Ved Vyas was the first known Gurus, who had compiled Upnishads and Vedas for good of mankind. He explained the Vedas in easy language with help of incidents and stories. He wrote and explained Brahma Sutras, Mahabharat and 18 Puranas with help of incidents and stories in easy language for easy understanding of highest knowledge.
