Description

This Shaligram idol featuring Lord Vishnu reclining on a bed of coiled serpent Shesha is very special as it is designed in His Ananta Padmana form. It features Him resting comfortably while holding His emblems and the multiple hoods of Shesha forms a canopy above Him. Maa Laxmi, His beloved consort is seen massaging His feet out of immense love and honour for Him. Lord Brahma seated on Lotus is seen emerging from His navel. The meticulous carvings and the rich black hue give a rich ancient appeal to the powerful idol. Ananta Padmana idol is one of the 108 temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This divine idol combining blessings of all Deities and divinity of Shaligram makes a powerful idol to install at home or office. It helps remove Vastu defects and Naga Dosha and provides protection from negative energies. It also bestows success, riches, harmony, creative power, fortune, and prosperity.

Shaligram is a sacred stone, which is collected from the Gandaki Kali River in Nepal. It represents Lord Vishnu Himself so an idol made of Shaligram does not need to undergo the ritual of Pran Prathistha (life invoking ritual). The worship of Shaligram focuses on six virtues of life, which include the creation of wealth, good health, world, and spiritual pleasures, spiritual progress, protection, and righteous living. The regular worship includes an Abhishekam with pure water or Tulsi water and with panchamrit (a mix of five substances which includes cow milk, curd, sugar, ghee, and honey).
