Sciatica

Sciatica

Sciatica is where the sciatic nerve, which runs from your lower back to your feet, is irritated or compressed. It usually gets better in 4 to 6 weeks but can last longer.

The pain of sciatica is typically felt from the low back (lumbar area) to behind the thigh and can radiate down below the knee. The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body and begins from nerve roots in the lumbar spinal cord in the low back and extends through the buttock area to send nerve endings down the lower extremity or leg.

The pain of sciatica is sometimes referred to as sciatic nerve pain. Sciatic pain can vary from infrequent and irritating pain to constant and incapacitating pain. Risk factors for sciatica include degenerative arthritis of the lumbar spine, lumbar disc disease, slipped disc and trauma or injury to the lumbar spine.

Bed rest has been traditionally advocated for the treatment of acute sciatica. Other treatment options for sciatica depend on its cause and include addressing the underlying cause and physical therapy. Transcutaneous nerve stimulators (TENS units) are sometimes useful for more chronic forms of sciatica. Surgical procedures can sometimes be required for persisting sciatica that is caused by nerve compression at the lower spine.

If the pain referred above has not improved after trying home treatments for a few weeks, is getting worse or is stopping you doing your normal activities then you should visit a medical doctor. Psychotherapy, physiotherapy and painkillers are the common treatments to deal with this ailment.

Once the diagnosis has been established and medical treatment has begun, the patient might consider beginning professional Chakra Therapy to enhance and speed up recovery while providing holistic and ultimate healing.

Chakra Therapy is a unique technique to open the blocked Chakras in the body and treat the ailments caused by these blockages. Chakra Therapy is an alternative therapy that does not have any side effects and treats not only the disease but transforms the affected individual to find their purpose in life and face it with renewed energy and vigor.

Chakra therapy opens the Muladhara Chakra and with the resulting restored energy and vitality the individual can counteract all the painful symptoms derived from Sciatica.

Sciatica problems originate from the location of the Muladhara Chakra. Inhibition of the Muladhara Chakra or Root Chakra, which directs the survival instinct and drive (which is governed by this Chakra), results in a misleading picture of survival, which results in physical consequences as Sciatica.

This Chakra provides support and stability in one’s life, as well as the ability to deal with difficulties that arise. When it is obstructed, one experience anxiety about confronting obstacles or facing any challenge. These anxieties present themselves as Sciatica.

Pressure on the sciatic nerve is a physical manifestation of the sensation of being under pressure. A synonym for fury and rage, inflammation is used to describe feelings that cannot be stated directly. An irritated or painful piriformis muscle in the buttock may cause the sciatic nerve, which runs adjacent to or through it, to become agitated and inflamed. Most of the time, the referred pain radiates down the back of the leg. It may, however, manifest itself in the pelvis as well as other regions of the leg and foot.

Sciatica may be a symptom of a lack of enjoyment in one’s life, which is seen as monotonous. Anxiety over one’s own creative skills, as well as communication barriers are often seen. Overachievers and perfectionists are regularly plagued by the view that they are not good enough in some way. As a result, they must prove their worth. This never works because what they truly want is love and recognition, and as a result, it leads to inner wrath and anger, which causes physical pain in the body as manifestation of it.
