Description
The Ashta Lakshmi are a group of eight manifestations of Laxmi, the Goddess of wealth. She presides over eight sources of wealth which are prosperity, good health, knowledge, strength, progeny, and power. The Ashta Lakshmi are always depicted and worshipped in a group in temples. The prayer “Shri Ashta Lakshmi Stotram” lists all of the AshtaLakshmis in which all of the eight forms are depicted as seated on a lotus.
The Ashta Lakshmis are as below:
- Dhan Lakshmi – Goddess of money and riches
- Gaja Lakshmi – Goddess of elephants and vehicles
- Adi Lakshmi – Goddess of endless prosperity
- Vijay Lakshmi – Goddess of victory, perseverance, courage, and confidence
- Dhairya Lakshmi – Goddess of patience, strategy, planning, objectivity
- Dhanya Lakshmi – Goddess of grain, food, nourishment, and health
- Vidya Lakshmi – Goddess of education and knowledge
- Santan Lakshmi – Goddess of children, legacy, family, friends, well-wishers
Ashtalakshmi Pooja is performed with the aim of attaining eight earthly forms of wealth namely money, food, courage, education, success, progeny, luck and strength. This Pooja can be done on Fridays, and on Panchami, Pournami and AmavasyaTithis. It can also be done in any auspicious Hora.

A short Video of the Sankalpa and mantra chanting would be sent to you along with the photographs of the Puja ritual. You may connect with the priest during the puja (video or phone call) on WhatsApp or Skype and watch the rituals live. Puja Tokri having prasad, energized Rudraksha, silver tabeez and yantra would be sent along. Priests will perform Ashta Lakshmi Puja and Yajna as per Vedic rituals based on birth details.
