Avirat Bham Bham Puja and Abhishek is an elaborate and powerful ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva. The word “Avirat” means continuous or without break, thus in the Avirat Bham Bham Puja and Abhishekam Lord Shiva is worshipped continuously for an extended and specific period of time. The Puja is primarily conducted to attract positivity, auspiciousness, good fortune and for purification of self. During Avirat Bham Bham Puja, abhishekam of Shivling is done using Bhaang & Bhasm. During this Puja other than the abhishekam; Shodasupchara Puja of Lord Shiva, Dwadash Lingato Bhadra Puja, along with recitation of Shiva Tandav Strotra and Avirat Bham Bham mantra Jaap is done.
