This Shaligram Shila bears a clear and beautiful Chakra marking and is named Golden Sudarshan Kurma Shaligram Shila. Since ancient times the Shaligram Shila has been worshipped ardently as it represents Lord Vishnu. Sudarshan is the name of Lord Vishnu’s powerful Chakra (disc like weapon) which can destroy anything and is one of the emblems of the Lord. It signifies Lord Vishnu’s protection for devotees too. Kurma is the second incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the huge Tortoise form. During the Samudra Manthan(churning of the celestial Milky Ocean) Lord Kurma’s back was used as the base for the churning stick, Mt Mandara. The Kurma Avatar denotes stability, longevity, patience, calmness. The sacred Shaligram stone possesses high vibration frequency and keeping the Shaligram at home corrects Vastu doshas, ushers auspiciousness, uplifts life, clears negative energies and shields the dwelling.
