Purpose of Kumbh Vivah Puja and its Meaning

Kumbh Vivah is a marriage ritual performed when the native has a Mangal Dosh in his/her horoscope. This ritual is performed to minimize the ill effect of planet Mangal when the native is Manglik. It implies that if a person has his/her Mars (Mangal) in 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of a birth chart. Mangal dosha is often associated with marital dissonance. Mangliks have marriage problems because their choice of spouse becomes limited.

Kumbh Vivah means a marriage with a pot. It is said that the first marriage of a Manglik person may break or have problems so the person gets married to a pot. The marriage is done as per Vedic rituals and then the pot is destroyed which means the girl/boy can marry someone else and enjoy a successful married life.

Manglik Dosh is of two types: Anshik Manglik (Little Manglik) dosh generally comes to an end after eighteen years of age.

Ill-effects of this dosha after marriage are health issues, disputes, delivery problems and unrest in one’s family. Another Dosha is stronger Manglik dosha which has higher negative effects on one’s life such as serious accidents.

One need not worry about such events, as ill-effects of Mars can be neutralized by Kumbha Vivah. We offer Kumbha Vivah ceremony services as per ancient scriptures.
