Matsya Shaligram Shila

Description

The Shaligram Shila represents Lord Vishnu, the preserver and protector of the Universe. This Shaligram Shila is named the Matsya Shaligram Shila and has an interesting shape. Matsya is the first of the ten Avatars of Lord Vishnu and was half Fish (Matsya) and half human form. Lord Vishnu incarnated in the Matsya Avatar to save Manu, said to be the first man on earth, from a great deluge, thereby saving humanity from becoming extinct. The Matsya Avatar blesses with prosperity, removes miseries and protection. The sacred Shaligram Shila removes Vastu Dosha, invites auspiciousness and shields the dwelling with its high vibration frequency.

The Shaligram Shila is a self-manifested stone found in the Kali Gandaki river, Nepal, and can be worshipped without the ritual of Pranprathista (consecration). Worshipping the Shaligram Shila bestows material and spiritual pleasures, wealth, spiritual growth, good health, righteous living, protection, uplifts life, brings peace and happiness. Worshipping Lord Vishnu with sincerity fulfils wishes of devotees and dissolves past and present Karmas to pave the path to Moksha.

The Shaligram Shila is worshipped by performing the sacred bath, Abhishek, with water and Tulsi leaves and Panchamrit , which is a mixture of Cow Milk(without boiling), Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar.
