This lovely Shaligram Shila is named Laxmi Keshav Shaligram Shila and is meritorious to worship at home for the auspiciousness and blessings it brings. The Shaligram Shila represents Lord Vishnu and is reverently worshipped by Hindus, especially the Vaishnav sect. Goddess Laxmi is the consort of Lord Vishnu and the Goddess of wealth, good fortune and abundance. Keshav is one of the names of Lord Vishnu and it means ‘the one with beautiful long hair’. Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna, the 8th Avatar of Lord Vishnu, are called Keshav by devotees as an adoration.

The Shaligram Shila is worshipped by performing the sacred bath, Abhishek, with water and Tulsi leaves and Panchamrit , which is a mixture of Cow Milk(without boiling), Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar.
