Goddess Gauri or Parvati is the prime Deity of Mangla Gauri Puja and Yajna. Mangla Gauri means ‘auspicious Gauri’. The term Gauri means the one with white complexion and Maa Gauri is described as pristine white, with a pearly sheen. She is the consort of Lord Shiva. Maa Mangla Gauri is highly revered and worshipped all over India, especially during Tuesdays of Shravan Maas and on Navratri. The Mangla Gauri Pooja Yajna is performed on Tuesdays(Mangal Vaar) through the holy month of Shravan, when Lord Shiva is worshipped.
