Goddess Chhinnamasta Chalisa are 40 verses dedicated to worshipping and revering Goddess Chhinnamasta Devi. Goddess Chhinnamasta or Chinnamasta is the sixth amongst the Dus Mahavidya Goddesses. The name Chhinnamasta means the one whose head is severed. Chinnamasta Devi is worshiped mostly in the Tantric tradition. She is depicted with a self-severed head in one hand and three streams of blood sprouting out feeding two attendants and Herself. Maa Chinnamasta is the fierce aspect of Goddess Shakti which symbolizes that She is both the giver and taker of life. She also symbolizes self-sacrifice and the fact that She quenches all thirst all knowledge and more.
