Importance and significance of Daan and Dakshina is mentioned in many Puranas and other Vedic scriptures. In scriptures it is mentioned that daan done with one hand is returned with a thousand hands. Significance and benefits of donation of cow, land, gold, silver, food, water, knowledge, horse, elephant and more are mentioned in various scriptures. Scriptures also detail different types or daan which are Nitya Daan, Naimittik Daan and Kamya Daan; daan which is everyday daan, daan which is done on special occasions and time and daan which is done with an intention of gaining specific benefit. Bhagwad Gita also details about Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic types of daan.
About Jal Daan | Significance of Jal Daan
There is a joy in giving and also much satisfaction, the same is mentioned in various scriptures including the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. There are also many tangible benefits of doing charity. As per scriptures the merit of good karma earned through daan and dakshina stays with a devotee in this and through future births. Often donations of specific things are done for specific purposes such as to seek specific benefits or to pacify specific planets. Of all donations, donation of food and water is considered very noble and meritorious. Of these, offering or Daan of water is associated with blessings of spiritual augmentation and moksha. Offering water to travellers, pilgrims and thirsty people especially during summers is a virtuous deed. The act blesses the doer with good karma and relief from malefic effects of bad karma. During Jal Daan, a team from Rudra Centre Puja Services will deliver the chosen litres of water to a needy society / a village for their drinking water tank/station for the devotees/people to consume.

Jal Daan Puja Procedure | Jal Daan Puja Vidhi
Rudra Centre Puja Services Priest will study the Kundli of the Yajman and shortlist an auspicious date to undertake the daan. On the day of the Daan, Sankalpa is taken by Punditji on behalf of the Yajman. Rudra Centre team will go to the identified beneficiary and perform the Daan service and send pictures and videos to the Yajman.
